What does the VCAM board do?
The board oversees the operations of VCAM, our cable access channels, and a growing list of media-related services. They develop policies for the organization, ensure responsible use of cable access funds, strategize about outreach and development efforts, and infuse community accountability and transparency into all that we do.
Meetings are held once a month with some additional committee work included in between meetings.
How many seats are open?
Three directors are elected each year by registered members of VCAM to serve a two-year term.
How do I nominate someone or myself?
Simply email VCAM’s Director, Seth Mobley, at seth[at]vermontcam.org with your name. It is literally that easy.
Or encourage someone you know to submit their name. Seth will share with you the next steps and answer any questions you may have. You can call us at the studio with questions as well: 802-651-9692.
Deadline for submitting your name and short bio is Friday, March 31.
Don’t want to run? Make sure to vote!
You can still participate even if you don’t wish to be a candidate by voting in the election as a VCAM member. Make sure your membership is active by calling the VCAM studio at 802-651-9692. Then you will get a mailed ballot with a unique online voting code to vote on our website in April.
VCAM simply would not be the organization it is today without the hard work and dedication of all of our volunteer board members.
Please pass the word on! We encourage as many candidates for the board as possible.
